The GSRD Foundation has been supporting the Skills Development and Employment for Disadvantaged Youth project in Vietnam since 2014. The project provides life skills education, formal education support, work readiness training, individual counselling and mentoring to disadvantaged young people in Hanoi and Hue in Vietnam.

The objective of the project is to enable disadvantaged youth, especially adolescent girls and young women in Vietnam, to transform their lives by offering them employable (soft) skills development training and employment programs. The project also focuses on the provision of work skills and helps disadvantaged young people to find jobs by providing vocational training in Food & Beverages, Sales & Marketing, Nail Art, Web & Graphic Design, and Hairdressing. All the students follow an English language course and undergo life skills training to build their confidence, self- esteem and manage their day-to-day activities, with the goal of becoming self-sufficient, confident and valuable members of the wider community.
