Entering the new year of 2022 has got us taking a good look back at 2021.

For all of our partners this was a year that was dominated by the presence of the Coronavirus. What stood out to us in 2021, was that our partners weren’t beaten by the virus. They worked with endless energy to serve their communities. With admirable flexibility and creativity, they turned their programs around and adapted to a world with the presence of Covid-19 whilst anticipating the pandemic landscape. To give an example; the curricula of vocational trainings were changed from training up beauticians to training up nurses aiding the medical industry. Entrepreneurs also found their way of working online when they were forced to close their physical shops during lockdowns.

Aside from the global pandemic, 2021 has been quite the exciting year! We started new partnerships with Creatella Impact, ChildFund Vietnam and UNICEF in Vietnam and also extended our partnership with trusted organizations such as VSO International, Hand in Hand India, ASSIST India, REACH, Grameen Shihkkha and Plan International. Travel restrictions last year made it impossible to see all of our partners but we hope that this year we’ll be able to visit again and make plans for the future together!
